Hilal is currently Co-Head of Research at Asia Securities responsible for fundamental equities and sectoral strategy. Asia Securities is a leading Sri Lankan stockbroking firm with an award-winning research team, recognized for its best-in-class research.

Hilal has more than 12 years of combined sell-side and buy-side investment research experience with some of the leading global financial institutions, including investment banks, asset managers and brokerages, covering sectors ranging from in IT and Consumer Hardware, Technology Supply Chain, Consumer, Retail, Logistics, Healthcare and Leisure. Hilal also counts valuable experience working alongside some of the leading analysts on Wall Street, helping him acquire cutting-edge expertise in global stock market and investment dynamics.

Prior to his stint at Asia Securities, Hilal was at Acuity Knowledge Partners (formerly Moody's Analytics Knowledge Services), a provider of high-value research and analytics services to leading global investment banks, brokerages, asset managers, and private equity funds. He was part of Acuity Knowledge Partners’ Equity Research Projects and Transitions team, responsible for administering new projects and trials. In addition, he was Co-Head of Acuity's Level 4 Analyst Training program in Colombo, and oversaw a team of analysts supporting multiple buy-side and sell-side research engagements for clients based in North America, Europe and Asia. 

Beyond his professional work, Hilal shares his knowledge and experiences by conducting educational programs through the Colombo Stock Exchange and Ceylon Exchange Mentoring. Hilal is the Visiting Lecturer for Fundamental Equity Analysis for the ADFM program conducted by the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Hilal has a Bachelor of Business Management Degree from the Singapore Management University and an MBA from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

Shadhir Jannath is a financial and capital market enthusiast with over 15 years of experience in the field. He specializes in Technical Analysis and Active Trading Strategies and currently serves as the Co-Head of the Research Division at Asia Securities, a leading Sri Lankan stockbroking firm with an award-winning research team recognized for its best-in-class research. He was previously employed at Candor Equities Limited and Bartleet Finance PLC.

For over eight years, Shadhir has shared his insights and experiences by conducting educational programs and courses with the Colombo Stock Exchange, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka, and other leading private institutes. He firmly believes in the transformative power of education. His goal as an instructor is not only to teach but also to inspire an affinity for financial markets in his students. Through sharing his expertise and fostering an engaging learning environment, Shadhir aims to guide learners towards a comprehensive and insightful understanding of the captivating world of capital markets.

In addition to his extensive experience and passion for teaching, he is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK, as well as the Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA).
